Winter Holiday Activity Fund Programme

Grant funding deadline extended to 15th November 2021 inviting applications to enrol children and young people in free holiday activities over the Winter

As part of the government’s expanded Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) Programme, Cheshire East Council looking to work with organisations across Cheshire East to provide free activity places as part their Winter HAF Programme. This follows on from the success of the 2021 Easter and Summer HAF programmes in Cheshire East.

The scheme provides fun activities and nutritious meals for primary and secondary school aged children who are eligible for benefits-related free school meals. It’s also a point of contact for children and families during holiday periods that can be vital for them in accessing support and services. We also know that children benefit from being together, being sociable, engaging in activities with friends and having fun.

Cheshire East Council want to ensure that Cheshire East can continue to meet these needs and offer a great Winter HAF Programme. Applications are invited from local schools, voluntary and community organisations, and childcare providers who have not previously supported the Cheshire East HAF Programmes.

The submission deadline for applications has been extended to the 15th November 2021 to ensure that all organisations who would like to support this invaluable offer have the opportunity to do so.
