The Social Action Partnership has been leading on the development of a Cheshire East People Helping People Virtual Volunteer Network which is now operational across the Borough.
The Network covers all 8 of the Cheshire East Care Communities areas and provides Volunteer Coordination Points working with existing VCFSE sector organisations, Town and Parish Councils, and new groups which are getting organised.
The Volunteer Coordination Points are able to locally co-ordinate and match up people that have offered to volunteer with those needing support through the wider Cheshire East People Helping People initiative.
Each Volunteer Coordination Point is also making local links to connect up with support in their area including with local food banks.
As a Network, Volunteer Coordination Points are able to share best practice, volunteers and a range of resources.
Volunteer Coordination Points are assisting the People Helping People initiative to ensure that those in the community in need of assistance are receiving it and will they will continue to develop and increase the support they can provide in the coming days and weeks.
For a more detail about the development of the Virtual Volunteer Network and how the Social Action Partnership is supporting this important work please see the following CESAP-Briefing-14-4-20 and visit our Volunteering page for more information about the Volunteer Coordination Points and important guidance for volunteers.
