The Cheshire East Social Action Partnership aims to develop a strong local social impact culture through effective social action, underpinned by a thriving Voluntary, Community, Faith and Social Enterprise (VCFSE) Sector.
The VCFSE sector in Cheshire East is close to communities; understands local needs; provides local services, resources and facilities; and has a vital role to play in reducing pressure on demand for statutory services such as social care and health services.
The new Social Action Partnership provides a new way of working in Cheshire East and will deliver against 4 key outcomes.
Covid-19 Community Response and Recovery Grants
The Social Action Partnership are working in partnership with Cheshire East Council to help local people to support one another through the Covid-19 pandemic. In recognition of the vital role of the VCFSE sector, a time limited fund has been developed. The fund is primarily aimed at supporting projects that will have a high impact over the winter months and to assist residents who are struggling to afford food and other essentials due to the economic impact of Covid-19.
Not-for-profit organisations can apply for funding up to a maximum of £5,000 for projects to meet local need. Applications up to £10,000 will be considered where organisations can demonstrate a wide geographical footprint, and up the £20,000 for collaborative applications involving two or more partners and which can demonstrate sustainability.
